Am I Suitable for Tattoo Removal?

Laser tattoo removal is suitable for most people who:

• Are not pregnant or breastfeeding

• Are not currently using light-sensitive medications

• Have no history of keloid scarring or active skin conditions in the treatment area

Does it hurt?

Some discomfort is expected — it’s often described as similar to a hot elastic band snap or fine needle pricking. We use cooling devices and can apply topical numbing cream to make the process as comfortable as possible.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on:

• Tattoo size and location

• Ink colour(s)

• Age and depth of the tattoo

• Skin type

On average, 6–12 sessions are required, spaced 6–8 weeks apart.

Will it leave a scar?

When performed by a trained professional using the correct technology, laser tattoo removal should not cause scarring. We provide comprehensive aftercare to minimise risks.

Can coloured tattoos be removed?

Yes – while black and dark blue inks respond fastest, our laser systems can also treat red, orange, green and yellow pigments, though these may take more sessions.

Aftercare Instructions

To ensure safe healing and reduce the risk of complications:

• Keep the treated area clean and dry for 48 hours

• Apply antibacterial ointment as recommended by your practitioner

• Avoid soaking the area (e.g., baths, swimming pools) for 7 days

• Avoid sun exposure and use SPF 50 on the area

• Do not pick or scratch any scabs or blistering

• Wear loose clothing over the treated area to prevent irritation

• Avoid strenuous exercise or heat exposure for 48 hours

Healing typically takes 7–14 days between each session.
